DIRECTIONS TO BUILDING SITE IN TIJUANA, MEXICO
ALL THE MAJOR TURNS WILL
HAVE A PERSON WITH AN ARROW – IF YOU DON’T SEE THIS PERSON,
DON’T MAKE THE TURN
When you cross the Border, you will go through an area that says “Nothing to Declare”.
Depending on whether you get a green light or a red light, you will proceed forward.
If you get the red light, pull over to the right-hand side, and the officials will inspect your car.
If you get the green light, just proceed. If for any reason you are stopped and inspected,
there should not be any problem. |
 |
1 |
Once you have crossed the Border, go straight over the bridge and come to a stop sign. Continue straight, you will notice a park with trees on your right side. Go straight to the stop light. At the stop light turn left toward ‘CD Industrial’.
|
 |
2 |
After you turn left, follow the signs to the ‘Tecate Cuota’. |
 |
3 |
Stay in the left hand lanes and cross over the bridge heading for ‘Tecate Cuota’. |
 |
4 |
Continue through the industrial area. Once you have passed through the industrial area, the road will become ‘Tecate Cuota Highway 2’. Proceed straight as the next exit will be a few miles ahead. |
 |
5 |
Do NOT take the first Matamoros turn, which is just outside the industrial area.
Drive approx. 2 miles and turn right at the ‘M.Matamoros/Rosarito’ exit. |
 |
6 |
Drive through the hills for about 3 miles, then turn right at ‘Tecate/La Presa’
exit. |
 |
7 |
At the light, turn left toward ‘Tecate/Mexicali’. On the left side of the road you will see a large development of housing, El Refugio. On the right side of the road there is a large Pemex. Continue East. |
 |
8 |
On the right side of the road you will see an orange ‘Autodromo Tijuana’ sign and LARGE BLUE BUILDINGS in the field behind it. Make a left turn directly across from the sign. You will notice sign holders here. |
 |
9 |
Once you are on the paved road, you will pass a blue/green church; continue straight. |
 |
10 |
As you drive, you will pass an orange retail building on the right side. Continue straight. |
 |
11 |
Shortly after the retail building you will notice some green houses on the left side of the road – slow down and prepare to exit. |
 |
12 |
As the road hits a horizon, BEFORE the railroad tracks, turn left on dirt road. |
 |
13 |
Stay on LEFT side of tracks (one way only). Look for sign holders.
Note: Beware that the road on the right side of tracks CANNOT access trailers or long bed trucks.
All houses are numbered in descending order from the street entrance.
Please do not park in streets. Park on shoulders or in marked areas. You will need to take turns on one-way roads.
|
Only make turns where you see people with arrows.
If you are going to follow someone, make sure they know where they are going.
